In giant canoes of ivory
Our muscles have been made taut
From constant rowing
We've braved sea serpent dementia
Swords of iron will pierce scales
Keep a good surplus of ale
Is our Northland credo
We've come conquering new civilizations
Ancient world greets us flag we show
Bearing of furs and bone gifts
Gifts of minerals
We are a fierce people
Take what we want and know
That it is ours for the taking
Wooded canopy will be our
Temopary camp
We have landed on the coast of fire giants
Their flaming clubs would crush our will if we did
Not do them the honor of battle
We take up our blades and overpower them
They will take us to their mystic caves
Where the ocean touches its powerful waves
We are overjoyed with victory
And celebration and our call is once more to the sea [comments] => 4 [counter] => 164 [topic] => 42 [informant] => Lee [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => mythology )
