I can't say it to your face

for all the things you've failed to do
and how they'll haunt you 'til you're old

I won't say how I have my doubts
that you will ever be forgiven
I don't want to let you know
about the anger I keep hidden

you won't ever hear me admit
how, once, I would have taken you back
things are so different now
I see how much compassion you lack

I won't tell you how I've given up
how my worst fears have come true
you don't seem to care about me
so why should I care about you?

you'll never know these things I feel
although they run through every vein
these words I won't ever say
and this is how they will remain

these words I keep to myself
burn inside when I think of you

excellent write. i seem to be going through this as well. and its something id rather not go through at all, but oh well too late now. grr
