I wander no longer. This life is no maze.
I see the direction. I now know my path.
My way is determined. I've no need to ask.

I'm growing and changing. A girl I'll not be.
From now on I'm waiting. I want Him to lead.
I stumbled and wandered. Direction did not stay.
I was lost in the journey. I've forgotten the Way.

The voyage my treasure, The vessels were my prize.
I've forgotten the Star Maps. I did not watch the skies.
The North Star shone brightly. The path was still clear.
I chose not to follow. I chose not to hear.

I wandered in darkness. In shadows I played.
Forever He was calling. My journey I delayed.
Now I see clearly. Now I see true.
The fog is now lifted. The sky is now blue.

The lighthouse is silent. The glow is still there.
Now the weather is clearing. Now the seas here are fair.
A new storm is brewing. In the distance it rages.
Something is coming. My fear fills these pages.

His hand now must guide us. His ship will be strong.
His Orders will calm us. We'll not fear for long.
In Him I am trusting. Land Ho! soon will sound.
We'll soon be ashore, On His solid Ground.

Very beautiful. It really depicts being born-again, wandering away from his way, and finally investing all one's trust and will into his care. Keep on trusting.

I love your descriptions of a relationship with Christ. It brought to mind when Christ was sleeping on the boat with the disciples, and they were panicking in a storm and he told them to have faith, and also of Jesus walking on the water in the storm. Good job.
Glory to God,
Em

I loved your poem.
You've beautifully expressed, how it only makes sense to let Christ be the captain of our life.

So often, we tell God to have His way in our life, but still try to steer the ship our own way.
But He's patient, and He slowly teaches us to trust in Him.

May He guide your steps each day.
