And the leaves answer to autumn's call
Then the memories of our forgotten love,
Fluttering around like a wounded dove
Whisper for my wee attention
For what's past, without redemption

Like a flame, quenched with a sigh
It's faint remains ascending high
So did our love, like blown up clay
Without a sound, just fade away
It's energy flew from the core
Unnoticed, till there was no more

With no thoughts of you left in store
So many months we've been apart
That I can't recall anymore
The rhythm of your beating heart

I watch into the speckled night
The meaning of love seems yet so far
As I can't get the feeling right
I'm praying for a wishing star

When this winter's chased off by spring
And all long quiet birds start to sing
Will we then dig up from the past
All seasons' love and make it last? [comments] => 7 [counter] => 211 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Hurretje [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 44 [ratings] => 9 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Hur, this is quite a beautiful if not sad piece of work. Sometimes it seems seasons change overnight in matters of the heart.

Deeply meaningful. You capture these feelings wonderfully. And here I am reading, using one admiring adjective after another, for there is little else I can say. The flow, the language, the themes, are simply excellent. The themes especially. I think that aspect of your latest works has come home to me most.
