Because you looked my way
When the room was crowded
And mouthed 'hey'
Louder than you could have if you'd shouted

Because each night I lay and think back
On how I miss missing you
Wonder when I reached this point
Of knowing I'll have you whenever I want to

Because all I have to do is look into your eyes
No questions asked, you simply know
You'll be there for me tonight
As I'd be for you, a comfort you know will be ready

Because when we argue, I don't cry
Staying mad is hard to do, when suddenly
I want to talk it out with you
And looking for you ends, when I see you looking for me

Because when you said it was over
I couldn't feel, couldn't think, couldn't cry
For all my tears stuck in my heart
Leaving me gasping for breath, wondering why

Because you turned to leave
And I sank to the ground
And that was how I knew
I was in love with you
