[title] => I Never Came Again
[time] => 2004-09-18 15:27:48
[hometext] => I do not often write in free verse but I thought I'd give it another try. I hope you enjoy.
[bodytext] => For whatever reason, I’ve come to the end. A shadowy place, Devoid of light, And exactly what I need. So I wander, And I wonder, What, for me, is next? But the answer, To that question, Is hidden far from me. Now my vision is clear. I’m just sorry it took so long. For what I see, Is more than I could know? If I lived, Forever. But is forever really worth, Everything I have? Or everything I’ve had? Or everything to come! And isn’t never, A little warmer, When you’re talking about death? Something touched me yesterday. A finger in time, Reached for my throat, And felt my pulsing vein. And when its coldness reached me, I fell away, To silent dreams, And never came again. © 2004 Michael David Morash All rights reserved.
