All that’s left are my remains,
I was once a happy, young girl,
That’s lost her way in this sadistic world.

Iron chains crushing my precious heart,
Tearing & pulling me slowly apart,
How I’ve tried to break free,
I looked so hard yet failed to see.

If only I’d have been a bit stronger,
If only I’d held on that little bit longer,
Maybe I would have made it in the end,
It was too much my mind was forced to bend.

I wriggled like a worm & I struggled,
That made my life seem even more muddled,
The more that I fought & tried,
The tighter those chains knotted & tied.

I begged, pleaded poured out my soul,
But sadness laughed & swallowed my whole,
Now it’s too late I can not carry on,
It seems this battle couldn’t be won.

In the dark corner is where I now sit,
In society my face just doesn’t fit,
Because I am expected to laugh & smile,
While feeling dead inside all the while

really enjoyed this pixie especially this last verse like you i feel i don't fit into society (because to me it isn't worth fitting into!) and also i'm better than they are (he says with an air of confidence) good work.

It's awful that feeling..I know it only too well. When I was your age I was in an institution for a suicide attempt..always been sad it seems. Smiling on the outiside covering up..but screaming on the inside. Say, what are your 17 tatoos? I don't have any..I'm such a sissy...mary Great poem...
