Darling is a special word
that is the favorite of so many
When you are truly in love
it sure would surpass any
To call the one you love
this very special word
Is something they desire
and their favorite word that's heard
My Darling, I love you
always sounds so nice
Saying it to your loved one daily

is what they want to hear

Awww Bruce, this is a special poem. It has so much meaning. It is true. The word doesn't have to be darling, it's the feeling behind the action. But darling does fit quite nicely. Great write. Write on, Bruce, write on!!
