Array ( [sid] => 64051 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => United In Grief [time] => 2004-09-16 23:44:45 [hometext] => This poem was written 3 years ago after the tragic events of September 11. I thought I would post it given the fact that last Saturday was the 3rd Anniversary. [bodytext] => United In Grief

In this moment of sorrow, we all share in your grief
That has resulted from actions so cruelly beyond our belief
United we stand and remember the victims with pride
With sadness and tears that none of us can hide

As we unite and stand here solemnly side by side
Let us remember the victims with love and with pride
Our actions and deeds to the whole world will be shown
Without a spoken word to let our feelings be shown

Our thoughts and sympathy we extend towards you
In the words I've written, there's not much more I can do
Except to say with sincerity, that I express what is on my mind
In wishing you heartfelt sympathy with words that are kind

So here I sit thinking what I can say as I write
While brave men and women work hard all through the night
Battling their fears amid feelings of sadness and distress
All I can truly think of saying to you is "God Bless!"
