Array ( [sid] => 63821 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Gentle Man [time] => 2004-09-15 11:16:11 [hometext] => His name was Jack and his middle name was Holiday. He was born on the 4th of July and Died on Memorial Day. Ironic but true. [bodytext] =>

A gentle man once sat in this room
He would smile as he listened to me play a tune
I could make him happy
No matter what i'de sing
He would smile and clap
As my guitar chords would ring

Oh gentle man come back one more day
I have a new song or two to play
Oh gentle man you tried so hard to stay
when it's time to go it's time that's just God's way

Through his eyes i could do no harm
Wish i had one drop of his charm
My words can't do
What I want them to
So hollow and empty
Cause now his days are through

Oh gentle man come back one more day
I have a new song or two to play
Oh gentle man you tried so hard to stay
When it's time to go it's time that's just God's way

He is still with me a bright star in a darkened sky
His voice in the wind whispers son please don't you cry
If heaven is full of Angels
I know that he got in
Cause the way you live your life
Is how your heaven begins [comments] => 1 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 39 [informant] => Alovinmann [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )
