As confusion sets in.
You were gone, now you're back
My heart braced for attack
Your arms hold me tight
Ask if I'll stay the night
Will you toss me away
Like you did yesterday
Your voice is sugar sweet
As you sweep me off my feet
My foot's in the door
I really am not sure
Afraid you'll break my heart again
Afraid to truely let you in
Your promises aren't enough
And although it may be tough
I need to know the truth
Before my fears are soothed
Don't be shocked my dear
If you see my eyes begin to tear
We'll have to take it slow
Until I really know
I'll hold my love back
Until the confusion has passed [comments] => 4 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 22 [informant] => laurenwash [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )
Confusion Sets In

My mind races again,
As confusion sets in.

I wish I had the answer to your question. Sadly, I do not.

Nor do I have advice for the second time around but your poem was clearly expressed and very relateable.

I found this very interesting to read.

i know exactly what you mean...i'm going thru the exact same dilemma....and i have no idea what to do either. just take it slow and protect your heart...and listen to your intuition....a woman's intuition is ALWAYS right...i know from experience.

Dream of gifts, not just the ones given, but ones received, love is true if it is equality.

Beautiful poem, thanks for sharing.
