Critical condition
No hope, lumped throat
Just call it intuition

Hand holding, faith folding
What else can I do?
Flashbacks, think back
The times of me and you

White bed, almost dead
Still I’m by your side
Last breath, ‘fore death
You ask us not to cry

Can’t take it, won’t make it
What am I to do?
No games, the same
After losing you

So strong, your mom
As we embrace and cry
EKG, beep bee….
Why’d you have to die?

My friend, the end
I’m trying to be strong
Request, one guest

this is very sad and emotional. it cuts straight to the point. i am very sorry for you as well! my heart goes out to you...
near where i live there was a serious car crash this week. 3 people are seriously injurded and 3 people died including a 13 year old boy... it's really sad. your poem made me think of the loved ones of thse victims.
... thanks for sharing this one.

I always welcome a good hug, but this poem is also not true to my life. Some of my favorite poems are ones that I have written for others to help remember an event regardless of the emotion tied to it. I'm always sorry to hear of a loss of life, and my heart goes out to those people dealing with losses. Again, thank you for your comments
