Emotions exchanged
I'd thought of it all
Except for a name
It seemed so perfect
So innocent and sweet
Until she said it
It's hard to repeat
I heard her crying
As I answered the call
I said to her “hello”
And she started to bawl
I said what's wrong
She muttered words out
That’s when it began
My denial and doubt
Are you playing around?
Is this some kind of joke?
A fearful “I’m pregnant”
Were the words that she spoke
Dreams flashed before me
All my hopes now dashed
The freedom in my life
Now sits in the past
I’m sentenced to life
By creating another
I will soon be a father
And she’ll be a mother
We can’t be parents
We’re both still just kids
But that’s one of the risks

Very nicely done! ..."I'm sentenced to life;
By creating another".... my favorite part. However, I have been in the same situation and hopes don't have to be dashed- tell your friend!

It's not all true... I value the ability to put myself in situations I have yet be in or may never be. Although this is a true story, it is not my own. I was asked to write on a guy's reaction to finding out he got a girl pregnant and finding out about the news... Thank you for your comments

I think that it was a good thing that you wrote this. Pregnancy was the only reason that my ex-husband and I got married. I am only 20. I had my daughter at 19, and that night my ex cheated. Nothing is ever how you would like it to be. SO, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU DO. You never know what might happen because of it.
