the fluttering of wings, not even muffled here
time seems to stop when passing through
its as if a time worp has been stumbled apon
glance quickly and see theres more to this place
falling leaves have passengers wearing wings of lace
its a funny little game, riding leaves, i mean
if only leaves were larger or maybe i were smaller
i would play along and maybe even win
place your feet in that circle of mushrooms
the one slightly to your left
and just maybe they will take you
to their land of mirth
but then again im not quite sure they will
welcome such a tresspasser on their fun and games
but if you take the risk remember all the rules
take whatever they may give you
or be considered rude
unless it be of food for if you drink their wine
or even taste their cakes you will not place
your feet again on your home turf.

That's a fantastic image you've put into my head (riding leaves) and standing in the circle of mushrooms.
This is a really enjoyable read, very well done.
