Array ( [sid] => 63299 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Sightless Dreams [time] => 2004-09-10 21:10:08 [hometext] => This is about a person who find solice in their dreams, of magic, beauty, sadness, loss of something most of us take for granted throughout our lives. What would you do if you were born without or it was taken? Hope this poem is ok with all. and Thank you [bodytext] => Sightless Dreams

A secret garden, hidden from me,
Paths of rose petals, I wish to see,

Lush full trees, of mythical fruit,
Fairies, nymphs and fawns with lutes,

Laughter and play, the medicine I need,
Animals sing and dance as magic is freed,

Lakes of pure sweet crystal blue,
Full of mermaids, hidden from view,

Lush beauties, mischievous eyes,
Beware or be bound by their ties,

Something I can live with,
A place of mysterious myth,

I can hear and smell the enticement,
I taste the love and feel the enjoyment,

A magical land of friends within my mind,
But the mists of sleep recede, leaving me blind,

Once again darkness intercedes,
Milky eyes, filled with shadows seeds,

Reality is my bane, only dreaming I am free,
Another tab, endless sleep! Awaken eyes and see.

By Silent_Composer

Ps: For me to lose my sight would be very hard and emotionally scarring, for I take my sight for granted.Oh in time I would no-doubt overcome and endure, Its a harsh reminder of knowing at anytime darkness could become permanent.

powerful and with a tinge of emotion to make this an amazing write. you have nice flow and rhyme that makes an excellent style to present. your title was also intriguing to me. i usually dont even both to read poems in this category, but your title interested me enough to read this. and im glad my interest wasnt put to good waste. keep up the excellent work =]

I always thought that losing the use of my hands would be it... but since reading this.. I think the sight is more important... I could deal with the lose of the ands or the legs or even the hearing but my sight... no I don' think so...
Awesome write... very well thought out... and written... great imagery too!

Very well written, and magical although sad as well. awesome poem.

For me sight is a part of me...to lose that would put me in a world of darkness where nightmares live...
