he's gone away...
she hugs her teddy-bear oh so close,
wondering what she'll miss most.
The way he called her princess,
or the way he'd brush her hair.
Who's going to tuck her in at night,
now that he's not there?
Who will keep away the monsters,
and fix her when she's hurt,
promise to take her to the moon,
or give her seconds on dessert?
She'll see him on the weekends,
but knows it's not the same.
She doesn't quite understand,
is this all a game?
Happy endings come to princesses
locked behind a tower door,
crying as she realizes,
she's not daddy's princess anymore.
Gone away...
he's gone away...

Really great. I know what its like, my parents got divorced when I was 3-4, and I stopped seeing my dad when I was 5. I remember that day when my mom told my twin and I we couldnt see him anymore. I took off down the block and hid in sme bushes. So I can totally relate.

GoodGood poem.
