Evil Versus Good

Good versus evil

Every person with their life goal,
Has good and bad in their soul,
The trick is to let the good in us always win,
Or what is the point to even begin?

The good is everything pure and true,
The bad is all the selfish and malice within you.
In the journey you will meet people that bring out both,
The people that stay in my life will encourage the goodness growth.

As boring as the good may often be,
It’s the only true way I can ever be happy,
I hated to lie, to deceive and feel so lonely inside,
I allowed you to be in my life and to be my guide.

But as I lay my soul out bare to you,
And I loved you more as our relationship grew,
I could never ever be her, be what you wanted,
And with this truth I will be forever haunted.

But as you continue your quest for you perfect life,
Causing pain and cutting people’s soul with a knife,
Look at yourself and know perfection is only probable,
When the good growing inside you becomes unstoppable.

You need to learn to love yourself as you obviously find it hard,
Learn to do this and goodness will win over bad,
Begin to finally accept the choices that you have made,
Keep the memories, but allow them to finally fade.

Every time the evil wins within me I feel so much pain,
I have a choice though to break that chain.
That is why with you this is the end
No more Lover and no more friend.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
