Array ( [sid] => 63100 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Struth! [time] => 2004-09-09 10:13:20 [hometext] => dedicated to my Jehovah Witness -sister and brother [xox] [bodytext] => If my 'sis and brother knocked on my front door
I'd be shocked I say that's for sure
we never hardly e mail and phone
I wish we could chat the three of us alone

we are now different I'm sure you both agree
but you are trapped can't you see
I wish you both could still be my friend
but we arn't veering around that same bend

remember the days when we use to laugh
we use to talk while riding down the footpath
seems like too long ago now
but what shall we do to be close again, how?

our lives are moving at different directions
there's nothing anyone can do to make our connections
I don't want to feel like I have -no brother or sis
as we grew up together remember the bliss?

you tell me you have your own brothers and sisters now
and they make you feel good and I am just a cow?
I'll never match them as I'm evil so you both agree
as Jehovah has your mind and I am history

but I still love you both all the same
if only this life experience was only a game
we can never be close again what a shame
all I can say is that you have left me in pain

I dedicate this poem to both of you
I'll never grow old chatting to your children that's true
we have nothing in common but our childhood memory
remember I love you and miss you both terribliy

I end now with a tear in my eye
we have another younger 'sis that I love * I sigh*
I hear that your trying to show her 'the truth'
but please leave her alone I say-struth!

Interesting how this treads the line between the natural progression of distance as we become adults and the loss of family members to a controlling cult. Good stuff.

Maybe God will open up their eyes.
