with a touch as soft as a caress.
You lay gentle words on my brow
and rip my heart without a sound.
I am numb, shock stills me...
Silences me.
Not even a whisper leaves my mouth.
As I stare with blinded eyes
at once was my world,
the blood inside me stops its movement.
My heart dies without a tear, without a beat.
My body fractures like a goblet.
A million pieces fall,
a soft, soft tinkle like a bell.
A pile of tiny shimmers of light
the only sign I was once alive. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 205 [topic] => 32 [informant] => ShadowsCloud [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

I think one of the most difficult things to write about is the ending of a relationship you did not want or expect for it to go that way, rips your heart out is right....thank you for sharing this, beautifully done.

Hi Candice,
I can relate to this well!
The words I received were 'I don't think I ever really did, but we can still do this can't we?!
You are so right with all your words! Everything all gone in a quiet flash! I think the worst bit is that they appear to feel so comfortable saying such things, like you never knew the real them which has just come out to bite you!
One day someone will not do this, soon and forever I hope!

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, I am kind of hoping that the guy I love will not do this to me. Don't think that I could handle it. Especially since he has helped me through so much. Thanks for the comment.
