Who am I... Who am I
a confused child with no one
to turn, no one to understand
me.

Who am I... Who am I
a frightened child looking
for a brave way out.

Who am I... Who am I
to break free, wanting
to fight.

Who am I... Who am I
A frustrated child trying to
grasp and understand life.

Who am I... Who am I
an individual child trying
to understand me. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 180 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Rebecca [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Poetry is one means of understanding yourself. I find it effective in focussing emotion, and this place is a haven for all sorts of people around the world that do just that, day in, day out.

If you keep writing, I'm sure you'll find that over the course of your submissions/writes, that you evolve and mature. I would have liked to commend my youth to poetry, but alas - it was lost in the mist of my memory.

Welcome to YPDC.

Ah..a question we all ask ourselves at one point or anyother and it seems to never truely be answered.

Welcome!!! We all support the "who am I's" of the site. Since as being poets it is often what we all wonder. Keep on writing, pen your deepest emotions and expose the hidden talent within! Keep up the good work.
Angel always...joni

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
