Array ( [sid] => 63003 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => happy deathday to me. [time] => 2004-09-08 13:55:06 [hometext] => what did you expect from me,a happy poem even on my birthday?!haa no way... [bodytext] => the day dribbles to an end
the night slowly crawls on
the silence is broken by a tiny sob
and an icey tear freezes the air
no-ones here to hold me
no-ones here to care
im all alone on my deathday
nothing left to do
i sing the words in my head 'happy deathday to me happy deathday to me...'
but the words are lost
and im left rocking back and forth on the bed
the cold night air drifting through the open window
i lay down
and my pillow is cold and soaked
a million tiny sins
are flooding out of my dark sunken eyes
i dont want to be selfish thats why i dont want anything of anyone
nothing is my present all wrapped up and fluffy pink
decorated with glitter
i open it in my mind
and the spacious box fills with blood
its black and running
running through my mind
i cant wake up
im drownding
the blood flows out of my eyes
and squirts out my mouth
my body shakes until still
im dying
a perfect day
a wish come true
ive blew out my webs
and now i rest in peace
happy deathday to me...

Fascinatingly sad and absolutely dark -disturbing. If this was your goal- you reached it. Beautiful words brought into a painful focus. I liked this piece very much!

i agree with n2. this kind of reminds me of ciaus cassius in the tragedy of julius caesar. he died on his birthday by suicide from fear and pride...go figure.
