My heart... had been craving... to see your beautiful smile
My mind... had been wondering... if you were alive and well?
Then... the other day... my questions were answered...
I saw you walking... my way
Lost in your own little world... you seemed to be
Not hearing a sound... except your own heart beating

I yelled at you... to catch your attention
As your head whirled around
I caught a glimpse of you... sad... sad eyes is what I found
And your beautiful smile had been turned upside down into a frown
But your beautiful eyes... they brightened... as you ran to me

Touching my arm... ever so gently
Your touch spoke a million and one things... all at once... to me
But there was no confusion... in the touch... you see...

The touch spoke things... your eyes had spoken before
Like... I wish I could stay... with you right now...
And have you hold me in your arms...
But I'm in a hurry... I have to go...
I'll love you... always and forever...
Never wanting to let you go...

Ah... that touch... was warm and caring
It felt as if you wanted to be daring
But there were just too many people staring...

The touch... was like electricity...
Arcing... between us... in the air
Sparking... something deep inside...
Something almost sacred
Through your brief touch upon my skin...
You touched me deeper...
You touched my heart... instead

And with your squeeze and those few words you spoke
You ignited the sparks... surrounding my heart...
After our brief encounter... my only thoughts were of you...
And the love you conveyed through that one little touch... that day

Touching my arm... ever so gently
Your touch spoke a million and one things... all at once... to me [comments] => 4 [counter] => 174 [topic] => 48 [informant] => kidpoet_213 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
