Array ( [sid] => 62603 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Heavens Devil [time] => 2004-09-05 07:48:46 [hometext] => [bodytext] => Heavens turn from shades of azure,
from faultless and cloudless skies,
ominous darkened forms start to gather,
amassing fast as the hours go by.

a change smelled in the moist warm air,
something that seems not quite right,
air heavy with opression, still rising,
as they face the oncoming night.

wispy breezes, soon start to strengthen,
to wanton gusts of things yet to come,
angry skies brim filled with terror,
from this monster that it has become.

pushing forward, onward it continues,
a frightening path that man cannot shake.
an evil monster born from the skyline
threatening devastation soon in its wake.

trembling leaves strain upon braches,
storms fingers pluck them with ease,
trees bend and roots slowly loosen,
strong powers have overtaken the breeze.

gentle rain forced to lash at the landscape
as it is grasped by invisible hands,
driving water spears into every crevass
complying to the hurricanes firm demands.

stronger and wilder becomes the frenzy,
tearing all in its path from the earth,
leaving destruction, terror, devastation,
as heavens devil drives on in its mirth.

the landscape is raped by its tormentor,
ripping seasoned trees from its virgin soil,
straining rooftops torn from their fixings,
as the maelstroms course continues to boil.

hours pass slowly as destruction continues
wreckage litters as its dropped by the gale ,
damaged cars overturned and useless,
devastation on such a grand scale.

as by magic a calm respite then takes over,
winds vanish, an illusion as rains abate,
the eye of the demon is still watching,
he still has more planned for earths fate.

the short recess of calm is soon over,
winds rise and the rain starts again,
heavens devil once more with head risen
scourges the land with violence and pain.

the path left behind of devastation,
of wreckage, torn lives and disaster,
telling man that he cannot be harnessed,
and to the world, he is absolute master.
