Just want someone else to care,
Just need a little affection,
Not a lonely, heartless stare,
I used to look down on you,
With what happened behind closed doors,
You did because you were pale and blue,
And were sick of cutting open new sores,
Head hung over the toliet seat,
Tears running down your face,
Slowly rised back to your feet,
And flushed so there was no trace,
It was secret from everyone,
A pain that brought no blood,
After each meal you thought you'd won,
But you'd end up in the mud,
You thought this made you pretty,
The skin and bones you are,
But this only made us pitty,
How life took you so far,
Retching from the bathroom,
Each and every day,
Mummy would be home soon,
So I better put the food away,
The boys would now love me,
But how I got this they'd never know,
The boys would never see,
How they took that girl so low,
But now I know the feeling,
I felt the pain myself,
It felt like constant healing,
Without even needing good health,
And it's my hobby now,
To loose a pound,
With eating somehow,
This way was found,
Now I dont even need my fingers,
My body knows the drill,
But the thought in my mind lingers,
Why is it my food I spill?
Why don't I just not eat,
It would save me half the task,
Now off my knees and too my feet,
As I've revaled what's behind the mask [comments] => 8 [counter] => 217 [topic] => 13 [informant] => corrupted_minds [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Such a great poem about such a deadly desease. So many have it...because of movies and television..the pressure that society puts on the young to think beauty is about being thin...Marilyn Monroe wasn't thin..none of the beauties were thin...Art doesn't portray beauty as being thin...it's nonsense! I love your poem...

this is very sad.
i once knew some one tha did this to her-self. she lived in care for her whole life until she was 18, and then at that point she wasn't put into a mental home with loads of people that were anerexics and cutters etc... she only looked about 13. it was really horrible!
so, i can understand parts of this. she used to talk to me abit. i only knew her or the few months before she was locked up, but i built a friendship with her, and ten my foster mum told me to not get so attached because i would never see her again... and it's over a year and a half on now.
*sob*
your poem made me think of her.
*sigh*
and she's gone now...
