The rain beats angrily
On the plastic roof
There are people on the street
Walking under plastic umbrellas
Wearing plastic mackintoshes
And big green plastic wellingtons
Their plastic lips are moulded into smiles
As they shake each others plastic hands
Water dribbles off strands of plastic hair
And so they dash for cover under a tree
I thought I could put my faith in trees
I didn't think nature would plasticify
I was right
This is a rubber tree... [comments] => 4 [counter] => 161 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Sparkling_Fury [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

LOL! This is hilarious! It starts out serious and gradually turns into humour and the last line just made me literally laugh out loud! Awesome job - keep it up!
