Looking around, seeing how much has changed
And I see only our love remains the same

Peeking through the blackest storm clouds
Like fire, piercing unholy burial shrouds
With the daggers of love, you opened me
And showed me the things, I refused to see

Seamstress of my heart, gently weaving
Promises of love yet told, still unfolding
Seeds of hope planted, and still blooming
Gentle kiss of wind, softly flowing

Holding heaven in the calloused palms of my hands
Sparkles dancing within your eyes, a prize so grand
The tasting of the sweet nectar of you, my angel’s lips
Summoning crystalline shards, from my eyes of glass

At times, it was so hard to hang onto my dreams
And now a song of love, plays across my heart strings
Looking around, seeing how much my life has changed
And when we close our eyes forever, our love will be the same [comments] => 4 [counter] => 217 [topic] => 2 [informant] => J_Ganey [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

This is beautiful. Forgive my cliche, but I've got to say, it's amazing what love can do. I'm starting to think it may just be the most powerful force in the world... no wait, I always thought that... but I believe in it more every day!

lol... I'll shut up now. Seriously, a beautiful write.
