Array ( [sid] => 62387 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => SaFeTy [time] => 2004-09-03 08:02:48 [hometext] => I had another nightmare... This poem as well as being a dark story, has many REAL roots to it, about general society. Dont read this poem because its shocking and disturbing, read it because its an insight into our own personal hell. [bodytext] => He lies in his impregnable fortress,
Secure from the horrors on the outside,
Secure from the pain that the strangers bring,
Yet not secure from the horrors within,
Illuminated only by a light,
From his protector; the Ghostbusters lamp,
He lies in fear of the horrors to come,
With everything to fear trapped here inside,
If he sleeps he’s dead, dead as he can be

Shadows creep across the pale walls,
Long fingers stretched, as if to grasp,
Move closer and closer to him,
A dark figure in a trench coat,
Stands above him, always smiling,
Even when he grasps the boy’s shirt,
Pulling it up, showing fresh meat

The fingers push down,
Breaking through skin,
Blood erupts upwards,
Too frozen to scream,
The boy gasps with shock,
As he feels his heart,
Moving out of him,
Seconds pass, he’s dead,
The heart beats no more,
The figure kisses,
The boy on the cheek,
And brings the axe down

***********************************************

The father stares at the corpse of his son,
Blood stained sheets, disembowelled limbs strewn around,
He holds the axe in his hand; a smile shines,
He ponders how much the insurance pay’s
For the death of his lost eight year old child,
Murdered by the hands of that mythical,
Man in a trench coat and a cowboy hat,
That sadomasochist evil stranger,
That has raped and killed so many children,

That sadomasochist has many names;
Greed
Vengeance
Sloth
Gluttony
Envy
Pride
Vanity
But it’s always the same person;
You

Do not fear that mythical stranger, who abducts, rapes and kills you children...
The only thing your children are at risk of....
Is your family, your neighbour and yourself.

A shocking write with , sadly, much truth to it.

It's a fact most child abuse is done by family members and you have stated that in a terrifying manner here. A disturbing write.

Well done

Larry

In a way the message is unsettling, as if the write had more to speak of but the details enlisted were already enough. left me wanting to read more, could be a useful tool in reminding us of such things...
