3 children among dead as U.S. hits militant safehouse

These murdering American b**
Are not liberators, they are killers
The Iraqis want them out
These hi-tech grave-fillers

These murdering American b**
Who give these commands
Are occupiers in Iraq
Forcing others to meet demands

The grunts on the ground are not to blame
Their officers are the killers
These murdering American b**
These hi-tech grave-fillers

They are no better than child-killers
With their heartless brutality
And Iraqi’s throwing them out
Will make them TRULY free

These killers talk about freedom
Is that free to kill a child
You heartless murdering Americans
You are primitive and wild

Well when they take their freedom
As they will surely do
You won’t be surprised
They’ll want free of YOU

These murdering American b**
Are not liberators but only killers
The Iraqis want them out
These ugly, hi-tech, grave-fillers

Why not write a poem about terriost who go and bomb up places over there and killing alot of people. instead of writing about americans who have only been there to help free the people who live there. why don't you write a poem about americans who have died saving people they don't even know. how about you write a poem about how the iraq's... kill eachother. or how they cut off their own peopls arms, and cut off heads. why don't you tell the whole story... by the way. the way you wrote the poem above. I can say you have a talent.

People forget about the innocent and forget Iraq has many normal friendly people,

All war is evil and I would never take a side. They are both as bad as each other, greed and gain.. I am just saying I am aware of the innocents invoved

I believe this was wrongly filed under "Patriotic" poetry. Its obvious you havent actually been to Iraq, and talked to the people. Poetry should be about what you know, not a condemnation about things that have been spoon fed to you, over agendas you have no say and no knowledge about. You write with anger, and here: you write with ignorance. Write about their hatred of us after you have gone to Iraq, and talked to the poeple. You write about Americans unintentionally killing children - rather than about the brutality of covering your acts with women and children, of surrounding yourself with them to scare off the "weak" Americans from attacking. They use our empathy as a shield for themselves, and then you say WE are vicious. What a pity.

I think that this was an excellent poem, despite such criticisms. It was well thought out and put together. It also wasn't revengeful, but did share some powerful feelings and emotions from the other side. I mean, this is America. You have the right as any of us to share your thoughts and feelings. Although we often times want people to be silenced about things we are threatened by , it's refreshing to see all points of view about the situation. I am an American, but unfortunately, I am not arrogant and think that only terrorism is wrong, because it directly affected me. This country has issues (big ones) it must deal with as well. The iraqi situation, I'm afraid is a huge addition that America will be dealing with for quite some time. We often like to erase and replace, but without regard to the affect it has on people lives. People aren't just animals you domesticate, people are human beings! We don't consider ourselves ever being placed in these situations for some reason. We might want to start though. We just might....want to wake up from our American dreamland. It was a great poem. Sorry guys! Deal with it!

Is poetry no longer supposed to be beautiful, or is a refrain that includes profanity now considered beautiful? Sorry, I just don't understand.

Worthy effort, but I've never been able to see this kind of topic as fit for poetry. Also your works are miscategorized as patriotic poetry. When it's political, call it so.
