but today as i look into the mirror i see a cloud of gray
wet tears crawl down my face
maybe tomorrow will be a better day

now the night hits
the moon rises in my eyes
the wind blows colder
and i grow older with each second that passes by
its time to say my final goodnight

im staring blankly at my wall
as dark pictures take the paints place
delusions have taken over my sight
and im smiling as i havent in days

now the night hits
the moon rises in my eyes
the wind blows colder
and i grow older with each second that passes by
its time to say my final goodnight

i cant see in the mirror
the cloud never gets clearer
im not waiting for tomorrow
tonight is the last night of all sorrow
my sanity is falling to pieces
all my tension releases
this is my final goodnight

now the night hits
the moon rises in my eyes
the wind blows colder
and i grow older with each second that passes by
its time to say my final goodnight

A deep and truly heart wrenching write. Reading through a third time, a melody, haunting and eerie begings to form. It is not unpleasent, but leaves me uneasy.

Wow. Ash. Bleh. Your poetry sounds like mine did. I had issues with my dad, so I wrote a lot of poems like this. Maybe I should post them
