Array ( [sid] => 61953 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Someone special [time] => 2004-08-30 18:46:04 [hometext] => This is the poem I made for my doctor who helped me throughout my struggle with depression. [bodytext] => Walk away and forget the past, the pain that dwells within,
Impossible as it may seem, the will world no longer spin,
The nightmares are over, the darkness has turned into light,
Thank God it’s now finished, the seemingly endless fight,
A casted sky of pure black, the rain never seizing to fall,
Walking alone in darkness, and having to give up it all,
Now looking up into the sky, the blue so pure and frail,
Time to dream away, it’s time to let immagination sail,
The stars at night shine, even brighter than ever before,
I never really noticed them, because I had closed that door,
Friends who are always there, whenever Im in need,
Grasping tightly onto my life, living at a slower speed,
Taking the time to notice things, not letting them pass by,
Brushing off the impossible, not always demanding why,
Looking forward to the future, wanting to live another day,
I like this place much better, this world is where I’ll stay,
Happiness is a lot more fun, the sadness now dissolved,
Now Im doing better , my problems have been resolved,
And if I ever forget it, I will remember all you have said,
And believe that being alive, is better than being dead,
Someone special has helped me, I know this much is true,
A person who always had faith in me, and that person was you.

Great write!!..i'm so glad that you are doing better now..:)..it is nice to here that somone is coming "out" of depression rather than going into it. I know how you feel about having a special doctor help you. I have a cronic disease and my doctor wanted me to never get depressed..its been about 7 months now and i'm doing much better!..i no longer feel sad all the time and I owe him much gratitude. Keep feeling good! Best Wishes!
