Hating hindsight for the tears that were cried
And the nights that I just knew that I'd always have you there
The dream was sweet, until you disappeared.

I was scared of the whats and the ifs and the whys
The world kept crumbling behind my lies
Any reason to push you away
Hating hindsight, even to this day.

Wishing for forgiveness and a second chance
To hold your hand and share our dance
To feel your soul burn through mine
And watch you turn water into wine.

You gave me the world and I took it for granted
Frusterated, now, my dreams enchanted
With memories of better days
Loving you, in better ways.

Hating hindisght and my carelessness
I hate to ask you, unwilling to guess
If the love you once felt is the love thats still there
One more chance; this time I'll do it right- I swear.

i don't know what it's like to mess things up with someone you love...but i do know how it feels to have someone i love screw me over. i think your poem speaks perfectly for my ex....i hope that reconciliation has come your way, that is if you've tried your best to deserve it.

Linds, take a chance. Don't just let this lie living forever with the hindsight of "what if I had tried to talk with him." Better to take care of the problem now than live with it forever.

Love n hugs,
Rita
