As my unhinged thoughts drive me insane,
I just can’t seem to shake them off,
Often my thoughts they call my bluff.

I think people’s words of love are empty,
Even when they tell me plenty,
In the back on my mind is a little voice,
Who tells me that leaving is my only choice.

I try to block out these doubt filled words,
But as always they are clearly heard,
Questions whizzing around inside,
From my paranoia I can not hide.

I really do feel like I’ve been cursed,
Since this problem became unearthed,
I want to believe the people who are near,
But I am totally riddled with fear.

Will I ever be really free?
Or will this burden forever sit on my knee,
Sneering at me through gritted teeth,
Making me feel ever so more weak.
