rocking on the floor.
A train.
A train of thought.
Yet so much more.
Running itself into the ground.
Eternally in circles.
Wearing the tracks ragged.
Staring into nothing.
Blankly.
Cut.
A simple want, a need.
Obsession.
The tip of the razor,
light on my skin.
Sink the edge in,
deeper than fear.
Push it deeper,
push the limit.
Drag it slowly,
feeling each layer of skin
seperate from itself.
Drunk off the emotion.
Seeing the flesh
from the inside exposed.
So this is what I look like.
Behind the love,
behind the hate,
behind the mask I've made,
this is me.
A corner of the gash
is starting to seep with crimson.
Slower the crushing hope,
the gouge begins to fill.
I drink the blood
flowing forth so cautiously
in my state of paradise.
Coaxing it to pour like
a mighty river by
engraving more relief into my skin.
I could go on forever,
slash after slash,
living in eternal happiness.
But the thought of people knowing,
seeing and not appreciating
the beauty and detail in my scars
limits me to five.
So I close my eyes,
enjoying the calm,
and fall into a peaceful sleep. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 259 [topic] => 13 [informant] => WorthlesSanity666 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

well captured emotion.

you know, I always felt this way, but with fencing and tai chi swrod training, I got cut enough, I never had to do it to myslef. Felt good though, a release, physican pain to match the emotional pain. It truly is an addiction like any other.

Well done.
