There is indeed hope for mankind,
Yet it will not come from our effort or design.
For we are incapable of the radical changes needed,
Our best efforts are superficial…indeed benign.

Our hope will come from He whom has always cared,
And grieved for our remiss and errant ways.
Nothing has escaped his all-seeing eyes,
Worthy of consideration…as we approach the end of our days.

We may deny Him…yet He stands ready to rescue,
Our denial serves only to strengthen His resolve.
His ultimate plan for us will in no way be thwarted,
In the end…around Him humanity will revolve.

For in the arms of pure compassion we are held,
And the love there knows no Earthly bounds.
We have abused the very freedom He gave us,
Our rejection of Him a tragedy…and truly astounds.

Yet in the end He will triumph…to lead us away,
From all our excess and reckless squander.
In these times of hopelessness it is a ray of sunshine,
In our darkness…we would do well to ponder.

There is indeed hope…yet we must await its Author,
Fully realizing the motives by which He is impelled.
Our creator comes to lead us all home,
In His loving arms of compassion…we all are held.

Beautifully expressed.

God's love is unfailing. For He has said He will never leave or forsake us.
