When your lover is so far away
It makes it kind of tough
To tell them what you want to say.

"I love you, my darling,"
Are the words you want to tell
Because that is your true feeling
Even if you have been through hell.

I wish you weren't so far
So you could hold me close
Because lovers we are
And you are the one I chose.

I want you to be near me
To give me a loving, passionate kiss
We can lay by the sea
And we can make love in bliss.

But this won't happen for a while
Because it is so tough
To see your wonderful smile
When you are so far away.

Why does love have to be so rough?

I liked the poem it was a good write and you expressed your feelings so easy in this poem. I can see how love for you could be tough from such a distance but if you stay true and love your lover and you guys stay true and just know you guys will see each other again it might make things easier on you.

I dunno I just know I love my girl friend so much and she lives a while out and this is how I think and I just talk to her like everyday and I know things will be okay.
