Like those little building blocks of life, I hope this resonates with a few readers..... [bodytext] => Mankind through history’s tangled thread
Has sort to comprehend
The staggered cycles of all
Who share their time
between somnolence and speed

Circadian rhythms, pineal glands
Internal clocks and REM sleep
Scientists would have us think
That habits borne in restless genes
Are amenable to patient acts

Yet deep within the living cell
The world within the one we know
In quietude beyond eyes and ears,
The ebb and flow of night and day
Go unheeded and unfelt

The fire seeds of life all known
Keep their counsel to themselves
Vibrating their signature tunes
Up subtle layers of spirit and flesh,
Through wakefulness or sleep

And so the Universe sings its song
Along waves of waxing and waning life
The siren lure of death and birth
Irresistible to the dust of dead stars
Drawn, enraptured to its call.

No matter how much evidence scientists dig up, the true beginings of our existence I feel are perhaps forever just out of our grasp. And that it may be there is a reason for that as well.
Well done!
