i almost opened up to you

I had never felt that way before
and almost thought it was ok
i almost let you talk so sweet
and take away my inocence

you almost made it through my walls
and almost had my soul
you almost stole every part of me
to never give it back

almost....thats all it was
i knew to watch those red flags
and now i have won the battle
have fun being all alone

if you wouldn't of took your pain
and all your anger out on me
there could of been something more
then all the almosts of the world

so another ending arises
just like the one before
and with it comes a new beginning
just like the one before

and in this end it all comes down
to one very true conclusion:
just like the song has said,
"almost doesn't count"....

I was so afraid of not being afraid
and i almost let my guard down
i almost opened up to you
and let you hold my heart

I had never felt that way before
and almost thought it was ok
i almost let you talk so sweet
and take away my inocence

you almost made it through my walls
and almost had my soul
you almost stole every part of me
to never give it back

almost....thats all it was

grea poem. all ur poems are so good. and the saying that almost never counts is completely true
