Gravities Eternal Night

Contributed by Ethereal_Engine on Thursday, 26th August 2004 @ 03:31:45 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Beneath the sky on the surface of our planet I feel gravity pulling me down. It keeps me safe and secure on the ground so I do not fall off the edge and float away into the endless depths of outer space, but this force gets in my head and makes me mad. It plays tricks on me and I can do nothing about it. I can feel my limbs becoming heavy and clunky, unable to move them in fluid motion because gravity weighs them down. It’s out to get me I swear. I can barely walk any more its far too heavy and if the ground be not solid I sink downwards and will drown in the muck. I feel it on my shoulders and back making them stiff and cramped. My head is slowly being pulled forward so I can no longer see straight. I’m now facing down in a terrible hunch. The pain is a great irritation and plagues me each day. My bones are becoming compressed stiff and brittle soon they will snap under the pressure and only my flesh will remain. I lie face up on the ground my skin pulling back, eye sockets drooping and pupils shot red. I see the bright sun above in shades of gray my vision reduced to black and white. My teeth shatter and my skull cracks. I do not bleed instead my fluids are pulled down into the soil sent to the molten center. I am not dead but my body is gone my consciousness moving in reverse towards the sky, but even it is pulled back down for the gravity is too great. Inches away from freedom I plummet I fall ever downward with no end in sight. It is exhilarating falling with limitless speed through the center and outwards to the stars no longer falling but flying.
