Beneath an ogre of a tree
Not one parting word was spoken
From the fading red outline of her lips
The air was calm but reeked a stench
Of madness, gloom and hate
A colored blue contact lens
Lay curled and dry upon her pale cheek
Her hair once was butterscotch
Now a stained nest of crimson
A broken heel lay by her hip
A bare foot testing the bitter breeze
Somewhere beneath her lay one hand
Tightly fisted the other above her head
When they took her away on a white wheeled bed
They covered her beaten face with a sheet
The wheels stumbled briefly upon some rocks
Which jumbled her hand just enough
From her hand dropped a note
This is what it said...
For better for worse I loved him
Honestly, completely right up to the end
From who I am, foregiveness I give
But even in death I will not forget
Where is he you can bet I'll be
Haunting the world all around him... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 283 [topic] => 6 [informant] => Lia [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )

I love your originality. Revenge from a woman, even in death...I like how you can just imagine the story before. What has happened to this woman for her to feel this way. Thanks for the poem. I like poems I have to think about...Neat!
