Remember to always listen for them carefully.
Just before you fall asleep,
Hear these words for you to keep.

Never forget how much I loved you,
And feel it in your heart every day.
Don’t listen to what anyone says,
Negativity only brings the wrong type of sensitivity

Keep a picture on your nightstand,
That photo of you and me, so happy
And murmur every night
That same lullaby

Just because I’m gone doesn’t mean I can’t be there
If you keep me in your heart I’ll always be near.
Never let yourself down, it’s yourself you need to love
When all else fails above

Trust me now, people change
Remember to move on, to forgive
And never hate, it’ll only make your heart have dark spaces
And I can’t stand to see you grow up along those empty faces

Just Before You Fall Asleep

I give this message, these words from me,
Remember to always listen for them carefully.
Just before you fall asleep,
Hear these words for you to keep.
