[bodytext] => Frozen for the futures eyes, There within the starry skies, Lost amongst the fear and lies, You watch as night takes hold. Startled by the vultures cries, Circling above its prize, Never thinking of the size, This creature’s far to bold. Torn between the first and last, Dreading how the die is cast, Lost within your sins long past, Forgiveness you won’t take. On your ship below the mast, Little demons of downcast, Reminding you of what’s passed, And swamp you with their wake. As you float in open sea, All the things you once would be, Drown because you just won’t see, The way to save your soul. All you need to be set free, Is ask the Son and then He, Will take you up and you’ll see, He’ll pay your final toll. But if you stay in the night, Hide your eyes from what’s right, He can’t take you to the light, And He will weep for you. Hold Him high within your sight, Don’t be hurt by things that might, Strive to reach an angel’s height, And to His name be true. All of this will get you there, But don’t slack, and be aware, Of the ones who just don’t care, For judgment soon He’ll pass. Of you’re true you’ll find what’s fare, If you’re true you’ll climb the stair, Take your place by Holy Père, And lead the end time mass. © 2004 Michael David Morash All rights reserved [comments] => 2 [counter] => 372 [topic] => 11 [informant] => mdmorash [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ChristianPoetry )
