Array ( [sid] => 6116 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => The Boggo Road Motel [time] => 2002-11-02 22:00:00 [hometext] => Boggo Road was a maximum security prison in Brisbane, and whilst there in 1973 I wrote this.
Hope you enjoy. [bodytext] => I have left the world of pleasure
And have left my girl behind,
So I'm writing her a letter
Just to ease her troubled mind.

I will tell her I am happy
That I'm feeling rather well,
For I'm spending my vacation
At the Boggo Road Motel.

Where there's plenty of diversions
If you'll put away your pride,
And you're gifted with the nature
To look on the brighter side.

You're awakened in the morning
By the chiming of a bell,
And the jangle of the landlord's keys
Herald all is well.

I will tell of evening breezes
But alas I must not tell,
Of the room I spend much time in
Which is designed like a cell.

Still the tariff's inexpensive
So my friends she'll no doubt tell,
Of the fun times I am having
At the Boggo Road Motel.

I have always heard being in prison is like being in a motel...only joking. :))) Had a tour of the place a couple of years ago, just that hour was enough for me, let alone for any longer. Good read Dallas I enjoyed it mate.
