[hometext] => this poem doesn't relate to me, but it might relate to others out there... ~C
[bodytext] => Mother, Mommy, Father, Daddy August 20, 2004 Sometimes I just can’t tell who, Will come home from work each day. Sometimes Mommy comes and we play, But sometimes Mother comes too. When Mother comes home I go to my room, And wait to hear the click. Then I know her door has closed, And I can come out again. When Mommy comes home she picks me up, She rains my faces with kisses. We make cookies for Daddy when he gets home, And she helps me with my spelling. Sometimes I just can’t tell who, Will come home from work each day. Sometimes Daddy comes and we read, But sometimes Father comes too. When Father comes home I stay in the yard, And watch as he passes by. Then I know he’ll stay inside, And I can pretend I don’t want to cry. When Daddy comes home he picks me up, And throws me into the air. We laugh and play in the clubhouse we built, And he promises to never go away.
