Array ( [sid] => 61056 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => MY HAT'S OFF TO WONDERFUL WYOMING [time] => 2004-08-22 20:50:30 [hometext] => Give me land lots of land, under starry skies above, but please don't fence me in! Where the deer and the antelope play. My hat's off to Wonderful Wyoming, my home state.........Hooray!!! [bodytext] =>
"See the little red circle, in the bottom right hand corner? That's where I
live, stop by and visit me sometime! Now look directly above that and
you see a little town called "Wheatland," that's where I graduated. My
heart is still there, nicest people you'd ever want to meet!"

"MY HAT'S OFF TO WONDERFUL WYOMING!"

Once upon a creative day
In the Wondrous Kingdom of heaven.....
The angels were anxious, where could He be?
For God was missing for six day, almost seven!
Finally Michael the Archangel found Him,
and ask him calmly.....

"Dear Father where have you been?
And God replied,
"Don't you remember you helped me to begin?
I was creating a most beauteous planet!
We called it Earth with a human climate!"

Hosts of angels began to applaud it's beauty!
Perfect are your Creations, fleshly to the wee bee!
Then God spoke, "It's going to have balance."
"It will be equal in proportion, without hindrance!"

God explained, pointing to different places.....
"Northern Europe will have different branches.
Some with great opportunity toward wealth, others poor.
Middle East a hot spot--troubles galore!"

God continues, "A continent of white people here.....
Over there a whole country of black people inhere."
"This country will be extremely hot and arid,
While this one will be very cold, and ice imbedded!"

Understanding, the angels shook their head positively.
They asked God, "What's this large land mass nice and nippy?"
"Ahhhh," said God, "That's Wyoming the most glorious place indeed!"
"Special creativity I emphasized here, 'tis prettied!"

"I made beautiful lakes, rivers, sunsets, mountains, and rolling hills!
The people of Wyoming are going to be modest, with few ills."
"Intelligent, humorous, also extremely sociable, hard working,
Peaceful folk, diplomats and carriers of peace pursuing!"

Once again the angels were beside themselves with joy!
They gasped in the wonder and admiration, no killjoy!
They had to ask,
"But God remember "Balance" where's your debit?"
God replied wisely,
"Wait until you see those I'm putting around them in Idaho,
Colorado, South Dakota, Utah, and Montana; just the opposite!"

"God would never do this....
This is just a joke!"
No author, the poem is mine.

"Wyoming is the friendliest state
I've ever been in, even friendlier
than Texas or Nevada. Almost
everybody one point among many
has a nickname!"
