Array ( [sid] => 60893 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => GOODBYE TO DAD [time] => 2004-08-21 08:51:23 [hometext] => I WROTE THIS POEM TO READ OUT AT MY FATHERS FUNERAL 3 YEARS AGO. THIS IS FOR YOU DAD. [bodytext] => As we pay our respects to this man we all love,
Remember he’s still with us as he looks down from above.

Remember the good times, every hour , every minute,
No matter what happened his love had no limit.

I look back at my life, and I’m proud to say,
I`ve loved every minute , every hour , every day.

We all share in the feelings of pain and heart-ache,
Hoping it will lesson every day when we wake.

It`s time to weep , it`s time to cry,
The day has come , as we say good-bye.

You may not be here , but we are never apart,
As you`ve taken up residence , deep down in my heart.

I LOVE YOU DAD FOREVER AND ALWAYS
YOUR LOVING DAUGHTER
.DAWN.

This is a beautiful, memorial tribute to your dad and I believe he would be proud of you.

At my father's service I wrote a poem on the fliers they hand out and I gave a eulogy.

I found this to be beautiful and it touched my heart.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

your dad sounds like a loving caring man
I respect your poem and think you did marvously to write it then getting the courage to read it!

A very touching write emotionally...some technical concerns but all in all a heart wrenching write that speaks of an offspring's love of a father... with a very nicely inspirational ending...I like it.

It brings to mind why I started to write furiously....for now reading this I suddenly remember...the real reason I began to actively write poetry was when I lost my father and could not find a way to cry nor say how or why... sighs....thank you for that...for I have long forgotten...what a window poetry is to our hearts...our souls and our emotions.....thank you for this...memory.

Once again a rather nice write!
