The Diamond Template of Unholy Doom

Contributed by Steeleyes on Saturday, 2nd November 2002 @ 10:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The diamond template of unholy doom
Lay long inside the empty tomb

As invaders came and vanquished fled
The only companions were the dead

Through ages dark as a killer's heart
The template lay stone cold, inert

And then the day a deadly mist
Crept 'neath the door and template kiss'd

A silver warmth now stirred it's breast
Colours flashed and fires hissed

Long hours fled soft as silken shroud
As evil woke and screamed aloud

A curse to make the mighty quail
And cause the greatest will to fail

A vow of revenge to ancient ways
To bring to ruin his enemies

And gather each bloody morsel here
So ALL would know the taste of fear

And from a dark and clammy tomb
To stoke a fire, ignite a womb!

For this the scheme of blackest morn
To see a Moonchild here be born

This chamber dark that once was lair
To Cuthulu, beast beyond compare

Behind the table stands a door
And writ upon the template, lore!

To open up a timeless place
Where long was hidden that awful face

That comes once more by fateful doom
An ice-cold horror in coal-black womb

Now watch his evil wings unfurl
And curses from his lips do hurl

At enemies in all foreign lands
Who wrought him wrong and stayed his hands

No more bounded by their puny rules
He hungers for their blood and drools

In each fiery eye a hatred burns so bleak
Like the Bush of old he gives a squeak!!!

an amazing vivid poem, i sort of guessed the ending but it still struck home, the sad part is there is too much truth in it
