The place of my life when life was new
The happy filled streets of my town
Nothing could bring us back down
A haunting sight of how things were then
Compare them to now and pretend
Its haunting me
Destroying me

And now I cant look at you in your eyes
I'm on my own
So messed up, and a heart of stone
The times that you called
Wanting to see me
I lost trace of all time
Its history

Thumbing through the album of life
Laughing at all the trouble and strife
You picked me up when I fell down
The strongest hands were always around
Now I see the state that your in
Its haunting me
Destroying me

Suddenly I am back down with a tear in my eye
Were all alone
Broken, with shattered hearts of stone
All the time that I stood
And watched you die
Regretting passed times gone by

Generations lost in the night
We cry alone
Together with hearts of stone
Together again because of you
For the last time
That much is true. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 254 [topic] => 65 [informant] => korax [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )
