Dont Leave Me Alone

Contributed by CrimsonTears on Thursday, 19th August 2004 @ 11:12:02 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

You think that you can lock me away
But in the end you’ll have to pay
All alone I don’t know what I’ll do
There is so much that I can think through

Leaving me alone to think is not wise
You’d know that if you looked into my dying eyes
My mind is filled with death and pain
Leave me here too long I swear I’ll hit a vein

This wont teach me a thing can’t you see
You’re only punishing yourself not me
I hold no fear of dying
So you should give up trying

For once hear my hushed voice
And try to make the right choice
Every tear that I cry
Only gives one more reason for me to die

Take away everything I own
But please don’t leave me here alone
I know that I wont make it if you do
You don’t even have a clue

Please just believe what I say
I really don’t want to die today
But that is what will take place
At least all my pain will be erased

There's a lot of emotion in this, part anger and part something sweeter, like the undying need to be loved. I've been there too. If you can find just one reason to get out of bed each day, then it's a day worth living. Great poem by the way.

I really relate to this. Some people, they just don't understand, and they usually end up doing exactly what they shouldn't. This is beautifully written, and believe me, I know pretty much how you feel.
