Array ( [sid] => 60477 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Love Chase [time] => 2004-08-17 16:31:14 [hometext] => This poem is styled as a... prayer... or, a one-sided conversation with the Divine. It's about this.... well, love triangle that's going on here at work. [bodytext] => Goddess, hear my voice,
I wanna know if this was your choice.
I bow before you to face it all
I stand here, ready to take this fall.

Tell me, Wise One, is this a jest?
For now things are really messed.
I can't get her out of my head,
Yet it's him who thinks I'm being led.

Did you pick numbers and it was my turn
To fall in love, then crash and burn?
For if you did and that's the case,
Then I refuse to run in this love chase.

I just want him to leave me alone.
That look in his eyes, the hurt tone
Only makes me want to break him in half,
I'm sure you're up there having a laugh.

Then I go home and lay down to sleep,
But thoughts of her run way to deep.
It's time to get up and I haven't shut an eye,
Nothing works, no matter what I try.

I'm not getting rest and I'm a mess,
So I thought that maybe if I confess...
That I love my life but I love you more,
You'd tell me what the hell you're doing this for.

This is a good poem. If this is a true story i hope things work out where you can find true love one day.

Damn, you have no idea how much I have missed your poetry... hell I didn't until now. *bows humbly before your talent*

This is awsome in so many ways. I hate in when you hurt because I can't just reach across the ocean and make you feel better. You'll find the right person because I know no one more worthy of love than you.

*hugs*

Your sister
Becca

Hey not bad. Actually it doesn't seem all that "sarcastic" to me, but sad poetry doesn't work either. So I guess you put it in the best category. Nice work! Cheers!
