Array ( [sid] => 60357 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => MR. [time] => 2004-08-16 19:28:40 [hometext] => about a Vietnam veteran and how the goverment just uses us and throw us out and denies all of the pain that happened to our soldiers during Vietnam!!!! [bodytext] => From under a bridge, there he sits
Staring out to a world, a world with raging fists
A man of around seventy, no wife, no home
In Vietnam his face was erased
His name unknown
The guilt in his heart
The innocence in his mind
The memories of helpless cries
The slaughtering of innocent civilians
The dauntlessness in his eyes
It can be seen so well
For this man has no job
No sight
He was dazed in the war
His left leg amputated
He FOUGHT.....because the GOVERMNT TOLD HIM SO!!!
Now he " Bares no Arms"
In a world unforgiving and cold..... [comments] => 1 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 57 [informant] => Alina [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => war )

SCREW THE GOVERNMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw someone like that today, he had a sign that said "VFW (vetran From War) Homeless, Hungry, Jobless" It's like, they helped save OUR asses, can't we just help them have a home? A place to live? Money to feed and clothe themselves? Can't we help them stay alive?!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
